Quick note: VB-G RAM G stands for Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin). It replaced MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) from 1 July 2026 and now guarantees up to 125 days of wage employment per rural household in a financial year.
The Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Card is the new name for the NREGA job card under VB-G RAM G. Any rural household with adult members willing to do unskilled manual work can apply — registration is free.
Who Can Apply
- Any rural household residing in the Gram Panchayat area
- Adult members (18+) willing to do unskilled manual work
- No income limit — the scheme is demand-based, not means-tested
How to Apply
- Visit your Gram Panchayat office or Gram Rozgar Sahayak.
- Fill the registration form with the names of adult household members.
- Attach identity proof (Aadhaar) and address proof; add a passport photo.
- The Panchayat verifies details and issues the card within 15 days.
- Registration and the card are completely free of cost.
