Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Card: How to Apply for the New VB-G RAM G Card (Free)

Quick note: VB-G RAM G stands for Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin). It replaced MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) from 1 July 2026 and now guarantees up to 125 days of wage employment per rural household in a financial year.

The Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Card is the new name for the NREGA job card under VB-G RAM G. Any rural household with adult members willing to do unskilled manual work can apply — registration is free.

Who Can Apply

  • Any rural household residing in the Gram Panchayat area
  • Adult members (18+) willing to do unskilled manual work
  • No income limit — the scheme is demand-based, not means-tested

How to Apply

  1. Visit your Gram Panchayat office or Gram Rozgar Sahayak.
  2. Fill the registration form with the names of adult household members.
  3. Attach identity proof (Aadhaar) and address proof; add a passport photo.
  4. The Panchayat verifies details and issues the card within 15 days.
  5. Registration and the card are completely free of cost.
