Quick note: VB-G RAM G stands for Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin). It replaced MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) from 1 July 2026 and now guarantees up to 125 days of wage employment per rural household in a financial year.
The Gram Panchayat is the heart of VB-G RAM G. It registers households, receives work demands, plans works through the Viksit Gram Panchayat Plan, and maintains muster rolls.
Role of the Gram Panchayat
- Registers rural households and issues Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Cards
- Receives and dates every demand for work
- Prepares the annual shelf of works and labour budget
- Executes at least 50% of works by value
- Maintains attendance, muster rolls and records for social audit

- Open the portal Reports section.
- Select your State, District and Block.
- Choose your Gram Panchayat from the list.
- View job cards, works and payments for your Panchayat.
