VB-G RAM G Wage Rate 2026: State-wise Daily Wage List and Payment Rules

Quick note: VB-G RAM G stands for Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin). It replaced MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) from 1 July 2026 and now guarantees up to 125 days of wage employment per rural household in a financial year.

VB-G RAM G wages differ by state because they are notified separately for each state and UT. The FY 2025-26 rates continue under the new scheme until a fresh notification is issued.

How Wages Are Paid

  • Calculated from the muster roll based on attendance and work measurement
  • Paid within 15 days of the muster roll closing
  • Credited directly to bank/post-office accounts via DBT
  • Delay compensation is payable if wages are late

Are wage rates the same across India?

No. Each state and UT has its own notified daily rate, revised periodically by the central government.

Do I get paid in cash?

No. All wages are paid electronically into your bank or post-office account.
